USDA FSIS acquires Creme Food® to support its mission

The USDA is working with Creme to systematically analyze and evaluate data relevant to the Agency’s mission regarding the safety of the nation’s food supply. The USDA has acquired a license for Creme Food® and has hired Creme to carry out training, support and consultancy work in order to strengthen the USDA analytical capabilities and to perform consumption analysis using NHANES data for updating consumption estimates for FSIS inspected commodities.
The Creme team will provide regular consulting services in food consumption analyses to the USDA FSIS teams. Creme will assist the USDA FSIS to determine national consumption for beef, chicken, pork, turkey, and catfish, as well as by determining risk estimates using NHANES data for chemical contaminants in food. All of the analyses will be carried out in the Creme Food® software and service with the support of the Creme team.
