Creme Global is looking for an exceptional statistical modeller or data scientist who would enjoy working on challenging data science products and projects as part of a dynamic, Dublin city-centre-based company.
Creme Global has developed a data science platform (Expert Models) on which we create and deploy models and datasets which are used by our team and clients to analyse and model data in a user-friendly environment.
This role will involve joining a team of mathematical modellers in the development of an innovative range of data modelling applications. Current projects include developing models to assess consumer exposure to fragrances in personal care products and cosmetics, pesticides in domestic use, and various new data science challenges.
Honours degree from a numerate science discipline, which included at least one module on statistics (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science).
Programming experience in numerical analysis and/or experience with statistical data analysis using tools such as R and Python.
Evidence of strong mathematical modelling capabilities.
An ability to interpret statistical results and identify their significance within a scientific discipline in the life sciences.
An ability and willingness to pick up new computer programming languages quickly.
Strong technical writing, presentation and computer skills (using MS Office suite).
The following, while not essential, are highly desirable:
Strong database management and data manipulation skills with software such as MySQL.
Quantitative risk analysis experience.
Experience with Linux operating system.
Strong spreadsheet and data manipulation skills with Excel.
Knowledge and/or interest in fields such as food science, toxicology, nutrition, microbiology, or exposure sciences.
Professional report writing experience and/or peer reviewed scientific publications
Attention to detail, with the ability to complete tasks on time or before deadline.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong communications skills, verbal and written.
Ability to interpret technical, scientific and business requirements effectively.
Fluency in the English language is required.
